To reset an unknown password on an Equallogic Storage array, first connect a console cable to the unit. If you don't have an Equallogic serial cable, a Cisco serial cable works fine. After the cable is connected, reset the unit.
During bootup, hit Ctrl-P, and at the CFE> promt, type 'setenv RESETPASSWORD 1', followed by 'reload'.

Then on the next boot, you will be promted to login with temporary factory password of grpadmin:grpadmin. Then use the command 'reset', and type what is displayed on the screen to continue. This will destroy all data on the array, and reset the unit to factory. The next boot-up will be initialization and configuration.
